Q: Does everyone make a team?
A: No, we try to place as many as possible. Sometimes we do not have coaches, gym, spaces, etc.
Q: When do you get your uniform?
A: At practice when full payment is made.
Q: When are practices?
A: For the most part practices are held at schools in the Memorial School District starting between 6-9PM (Younger players go earlier).
Q: Where are home games played?
A: In the Memorial Fieldhouse or Main Gym.
Q: How far do teams travel for regular season games?
A: Less than an hour. Most games will be in Dane County.
Q: How are teams formed?
A: Teams are formed based on evaluation by coaches at try outs.
Q: Are there traveling teams?
A: As of right now, the top two teams for 7th and 8th grade boys will travel.
Q: Are refunds given if a child does not make a team?
A: Yes, you will receive a full refund if your child does not make a team.
Q: Why is payment requested as early as possible?
A: The early registration and payments are encouraged so that we get commitment to play as we are using this information to determine how many teams, coaches, gym space, game/practice jerseys and related equipment we need.
Madison Memorial Youth Basketball is a non-profit organization established in 2013 to promote the game of basketball to Elementary and Middle School Boys and Girls who live in the James Madison Memorial School District. The program is both developmental and competitive in nature. Teams will participate in the Badger Development League (BDL) in the greater Dane County area as well as basketball tournaments around the area.

Madison Memorial Youth Basketball is open to boys and girls who attend one of the schools within the Madison Memorial High School attendance area. The eligible schools are shown below. Boys or Girls who attend a parochial school are eligible to participate if their home address falls within the Madison Memorial attendance area.
